Description

This clarifier has been designed for applications on a laboratory or pilot scale.

The Pathfinder is available in three capacity classes (PSC 1, PSC 5, PSC 8) which can process batches between 20 – 400 l. At the request of the customer, the capacity of the Pathfinder can be adapted to different production capacities by simply exchanging the bowl. The Pathfinder is hence the first self-cleaning separator in the world with 20,000 g. The product is fed into the machine through a closed-line system. A centri petal pump discharges the clarified product.

In this design, the separator is equipped with a hydrohermetic product feed. This patented feed system prevents shearing forces from acting on the product when entering the bowl. The self-cleaning bowl makes the machine suitable for fully automatic cleaning-in-place. Opening and closing of the bowl for discharging the solids with the Westfalia Separator® hydrostop system for controlled partial ejections. 
  • Machine driven by a 3-phase AC motor with frequency converter
  • Flat belt drive
  • Product connections as TriClamp or sterile screw couplings
  • All product-contacting parts are made of high-alloyed stainless steels
  • The seals comply with the requirements of the FDA and USP Class VI Chemical cleaning after separation
  • Disks in special design with gapless welded spacers for highest sanitary requirements
  • Machine frame and the motor are varnished in RAL 9007
  • 3 in 1: easy exchange of the bowl makes possible fast adaptation of the Pathfinder to different batch sizes
