The solid wall bowl (10) has a cylindrical section for good separation and clarification of the liquid and a conical section for dewatering the solids. The product enters the decanter through the feed (22) and is led into the separation chamber (11) via the distributor (12). Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles sediment on the bowl wall and are conveyed to the solids discharge (9) by the scroll (15). On decanter type CE 53.- 00 -.. the clarified liquid flows off under gravity whereas on decanter type CE 53.- 01-.. the liquid is discharged under pressure by means of centripetal pump (23).
