Westfalia Separator Service expands in Hamburg

The service sector with the Customer Support Center from Westfalia Separator Mineraloil Systems, Oelde, has grown so strongly in recent years that the premises in Hamburg-Bergedorf were no longer adequate.  A new building is therefore under construction to which the Customer Support Center will relocate from mid-2007. The foundation stone was laid for the new building in the Neuländer industrial park in Hamburg-Harburg in December 2006.

To meet the growing needs of the customers, and to be well positioned for the future development, the area of operations will also be enlarged. A total area of over 5400 m² will house offices, an authorized workshop with centrifuge bowl balancing stand, a warehouse as well as service space and open spaces.

In a training center with test bays and complete installations, our own world-wide service personnel as well as customer machine operators can in future be trained on the continuously further evolving products. The warehouse incorporates a spare parts store which, as the largest central store for mineral oil applications, holds spare parts. Subsidiaries and customers can initiate the delivery of spare parts directly here.

The facility in Hamburg also traditionally serves new machine business and the retrofit business for Germany and Poland. Hamburg as the second largest container harbour in Europe, with a close infrastructural connection to the inland and as a trans-shipment center for the Kiel Canal is an ideal location for this strategic realignment of the service sector of Westfalia Separator Mineraloil Systems.
