Westfalia Separator combines the advantages of decanters and separators with those of cross-flow filtration with ceramic elements for sustained optimisation of the winemaking process.
The trade fair appearance of Westfalia Separator Food Tec GmbH at this year’s INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA focuses on modern solids management. With this concept, Westfalia Separator recognises that solid/liquid separation is increasingly determining the quality of the end product and the cost-effectiveness of the entire process chain.
Solids management by Westfalia Separator comprises customized technologies for all sizes of operations for wine and fruit juice production. Among other things, so-called hybrid solutions for sustained optimisation of the winemaking process will be presented in the Stuttgart trade fair centre from 22. to 26. April 2007. Westfalia Separator combines the advantages of decanters and separators with those of cross-flow filtration with ceramic elements. These hybrid solutions permit continuous polishing right down to the colloid range without using filter aid. It also increases the wine yield and availability and hence the economy of the entire production process.
Westfalia Separator will also be showing two new centrifuges, the decanter type CE 345 and the clarifier type GSC 25, which have been optimised specifically for use in medium-sized operations and which offer an attractive price-performance ratio. The decanter type CE 345 is characterised by a high separating efficiency, a low space requirement as well as a low-maintenance and environmentally friendly operating mode. The HyDRY® separator type GSC 25 discharges the separated lees in a particularly dry state thanks to the proven HydroStop system. The advantage for wineries is a maximum wine and must yield.
