Genuine Service

New Application-Oriented Service Structures at GEA Westfalia Separator

To ensure that a machine or installation is permanently and reliably available, GEA Westfalia Separator Systems has developed the Westfalia Separator capitalcare program, reflecting a new world of service. Whereas service has previously been related mainly to the areas of repairs, spare parts and customer service, it has now been extended to include application-oriented service consulting and customer training. In this way, GEA Westfalia Separator Systems wishes to establish a permanent win-win situation with customers delivering life cycle benefits for their machines.

Centre of competence around the globe
In the maritime sector, the crucial aspect for customers is without doubt global access to service personnel and spare parts as well as authorized workshops. GEA Westfalia Separator Systems will therefore establish up to ten further centres of competence in strategically important ports within the next twelve months. This will guarantee and improve customer proximity.

The subject of training will focus to a greater extent on customers. Experience has shown that there is a strong demand for employees of shipping companies. This is the reason why the new centres of competence throughout the world are being equipped to enable customer training to be carried out.

A new tool, “WeWatch condition monitoring, is a facility for monitoring a machine’s condition with measuring devices for vibration analysis. These vibration measurements enable problems to be identified at an early stage.

Because the exchange programme for bowls has proven a success, GEA Westfalia Separator Systems is now extending this facility to cover preventive bowl maintenance. In future, the operator will be able to avoid expensive damage.

A further new service from GEA Westfalia Separator Systems is the safety check which, at regular intervals, carries out and certifies a check prescribed by law for the operation and reliability of installations.

Upgrades ensure that machines feature state-of-the-art technology. Upgrades are able to carry out improvements to the machine, enabling their capacities to be boosted, their efficiency to be improved and their maintenance costs to be reduced.

The service team of GEA Westfalia Separator Systems provides a range of flexible and individual services for customers, and is constantly working on improvements.
