GEA Westfalia Separator Group at the Brau Beviale 2011

Latest centrifugal separating technology for the brewing industry

The GSC 250i is the innovative total package of a new beverage separator of the GEA Westfalia Separator Group.

The latest developments of centrifugal separating technology for the brewing and beverage industry will be presented by the GEA Westfalia Separator Group at the Brau Beviale 2011 in the form of two separators, one decanter and a preventative status monitoring facility. The GSC 250i is the innovative total package of a new beverage separator of the GEA Westfalia Separator Group; it combines very high process engineering performance in terms of clarifying efficiency and maximum yield with an engineering standard that guarantees low energy consumption, simple maintenance and low space requirement. This is achieved by the combination of the Westfalia Separator® hydrostop discharge system with the new integrated direct drive.

The GSC 40 is a clarifier for the beverage industry in the medium performance range of up to 14,000 litres per hour. The design as Westfalia Separator® hydry® with the Westfalia Separator® hydrostop discharge system ensures absolute solids concentration combined simultaneously with a high relative throughput capacity.

With the new decanter platform of the Westfalia Separator® ecoforce series, the GEA Westfalia Separator Group is presenting an entire decanter family of a new generation which, thanks to its modular design, can be adjusted individually and in an optimum manner to the needs of a specific application and which, if necessary, can also be retrofitted relatively easily.

Westfalia Separator® wewatch® permits preventative monitoring of the status of centrifuges and the related possibility of timely intervention. The GEA Westfalia Separator Group has thus developed a monitoring programme for centrifuges which can be used “offline” at the operator or “online”, which provides protection against major machine damage and thus ensures compliance with service budgets.
